Case Background:
We represent a 47-year-old woman who works as a laborer on an assembly line. Our client is married and helps support a family of daughters and grandchildren. During one shift our client injured her shoulder. Our client was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff. The client underwent shoulder surgery to repair the rotator cuff.
Challenge:
The challenge with this case is that the doctor who performed the surgery did not do the correct job during the first surgery. The employer did not want to cover claims for permanent damage relating to symptoms the client was experiencing after the first surgery.
Results:
We settled the FIRST part of this case for a bit over $45,000. We are now in the process of filing two new claims related to the first injury.
