Our client was involved in a motor vehicle accident and, after a considerable amount of time, decided to undergo surgery for her injuries. Unfortunately, she suffered from multiple complications as a result of her operation that worsened her condition and required additional surgery.
As a result of both surgeries and associated complications, our client had to go through a significant period of rehabilitation, missed work, and incurred additional medical expenses.

The main challenge in any medical malpractice lawsuit is to prove that it was the doctor’s or hospital’s mistake that caused the injury or death of a person and not due to any other cause.
Secondly, in order to prove a doctor’s mistake, you need to get a statement from another medical professional stating that there was a mistake and that this mistake was the main cause of an injury.
In this particular matter, our expert witness was the doctor who performed the second surgery and, therefore, was able to provide the necessary report to prove the mistake on behalf of the first specialist.
